Paul Russell is a Toronto-born writer, director and artist with a background in art history (M.A., University of Toronto).

He has authored several books and has written extensively on the arts for such publications as The Globe and Mail, Canadian Art Magazine, Maclean’s and The Decorative Arts in Canada. In the field of film and television he prepared scripts for CBC’s critically-praised series “Images of Canada”. For the CTV network, he wrote and produced the award-winning nature series “Untamed World” and later, wrote scripts for Lorne Greene's “Last of the Wild”.

Mr. Russell is Executive Producer and National Editor of the syndicated television quiz program “Reach for the Top” (TVO, CLT, Knowledge Network). He is also president of Paulus Productions Inc. and an Executive Partner in the Paulus Film Group.
