Bolly Double Synopsis

"Kavita (Koel Purie), a young and naïve video clerk, spends her days watching the Bollywood movies that line the walls of the rental store.
Mouthing every word and learning every dance of her favorite films, Kavita would give anything to live the life of her idol, the Bollywood diva, Kohinoor.

When Kavita learns that Kohinoor is in Toronto to complete a film, the sweet-natured Kavita is determined to sneak into the movie studio.
But, in true Bollywood fashion, Kohinoor is kidnapped en route to her hotel. For the movie's horrified director, Mayur (Raahul Singh),
the film and his career are over if the overbearing financier learns of the kidnapping.
When Mayur discovers Kavita hidden away in the studio, lightning strikes. Rather than have her arrested, the director sends her straight to hair and makeup. Kavita will perform as Kohinoor's look-alike until he can raise the ransom money.

Suddenly, Kavita finds herself cast in her very own campy Bollywood potboiler, making her greatest fan fantasy come true: to become a Bollywood heroine.
Sparks fly as Kavita and Mayur must deal with menacing kidnappers, a jaded star, Mayur's ambitious fiancée (Sitara Hewitt) and the demanding financier. Just like in Bollywood, mistaken identity, murder, music and dance all combine to make for a wild and wonderful romantic adventure."
