KOËL PURIE

Koël Purie was born and raised in New Delhi, India. She moved to England for further education in Political Science and Economics at York University. She then trained as an actor at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.

Currently, she divides her time between London and Bombay as she pursues projects in both cities. She has a distinguished list of credits in television, stage and film. Her appearances on television include ‘Losing Gemma’, ‘Dirty War’ and ‘Indian Dream’. On stage, her roles have included the part of Desdemona n ‘Othello’ in London’s West End. Her film credits include Mixed Doubles, White Noise and Nazar. She has also worked behind the camera assisting Deepa Mehta on her film Earth.
